Aboorva is a family lawyer whose skill and dedication was recently recognised through her early promotion to Associate at Sarah Bevan Family Lawyers. She had an early interest in surrogacy, and completed her Honours research thesis in the area of surrogacy, focusing specifically on transnational commercial surrogacy. She explored whether the best interests of children have been undermined as a result of ambiguities in the Family Law Act, and her research details how judicial discretion has resulted in varying outcomes when parentage orders are sought in transnational commercial surrogacy cases. Her research background has supported her surrogacy practice significantly as her clients benefit from her in-depth knowledge of the legal system. As an integral part of the Sarah Bevan Family Lawyers surrogacy team she has advised many Australian and international intended parents and surrogates, and helped guide them through the complicated legal process.
