Amit is an Australian father via Ukraine surrogacy. Their child was born just before the war began, but Ukraine airspace closed before they could get to Kiev. Amit and his wife felt they had no option but to cross the Polish border to retrieve their child themselves. Amit wil discuss the experience  of negotiating a border crossing into Ukraine, and his family’s experience of rescuing their newborn and brining him back across the border to the safety of Poland
