After deciding they wanted to become dads Andrew and his partner began exploring options in Australia, but after working through a couple of potential surrogates and egg donors decided the legal system and medical system in the USA meant that would be where they created their family. They met loads of great people at the Growing Families conference in February 2020 and with the team at IFLG, San Diego Fertility Center and Family Tree  began their journey. There were hurdles both due to covid and the normal Surrogacy process that they navigated, but these became a long distant memory when they welcomed baby Daxton to the world in September 2021.
