Andy is a UK national. He and his Thai wife Sujata were living in Bangkok when they engaged in Ukraine surrogacy. They contacted Growing Families for urgent assistance with travel in April 2020, given Ukraine had then closed its borders to all foreigners and their daughter’s birth was expected 23 May. They decided Andy would make the harrowing land-crossing via Belarus alone and Growing Families planned and organised the paperwork and complex logistics. While it was four months before Andy and their infant daughter were re-united with Sujata in Bangkok, this expat family have now relocated to Egypt. Their daughter is a healthy and happy 8 month old.
