Colin has specialised in family law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2011. In 2014, Colin received a “Rising Star under 40 in the Legal Profession” award from the LGBT Bar Association and Interlaw Diversity Forum, in recognition of outstanding legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality. Colin is a frequent speaker at conferences both within the UK and internationally on surrogacy law and other areas of family law. He has authored a number of articles in the media and in legal journals and has given interviews to the media, including CNN. He is a member of the P3 Network and a Founding Member of the UK LGBT Family Law Institute. He is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association and the only lawyer from Europe on its Assisted Reproductive Technology Executive Council.
