Katie is a 39 year old civil servant from Cardiff. She decided to become a surrogate after reading a magazine article about it. As soon as she read it, she knew it was something she had to do. Katie needed to help people that way. After doing some research into how it works in the UK, she decided to join Surrogacy UK as she wanted the support of an organisation and really connected with their “friendship first” ethos. Fast forward 8 years and it remains one of the best decisions she has ever made. Katie has helped a couple have two children, now 4 and 1, and hopes to help others in the future.
