Leisha & Michael Gauci arrived in Ukraine 18 May to meet their baby after fighting through the Australian and Ukraine government paperwork processes for months. They were able to return home five weeks later on 24 June with their child’s Australian citizenship and passport all organised, before going into two weeks quarantine in a Melbourne hotel – then paid for by the Australian government
