Mark & Una decided to go through surrogacy in Ukraine having researched both surrogacy and adoption options – the latter proving too uncertain on so many levels. They decided on the Ukraine almost by process of elimination – Georgia was difficult as there is no Irish Consulate there and US being very expensive. They found the process in Ukraine to be well established and New Life provided exceptional service. Mark & Una ended up with 6 viable embryos, harvested and treated for 5-days , two were implanted and four remain frozen. Pregnancy was confirmed on first attempt, eventually leading to the happy and healthy birth of Evan in October 2016. They will discuss what to expect, the post birth process of birth certificate, executing affidavits, DNA testing, emergency travel certificate and travelled home ~ 2.5 weeks post birth. It proved to be a very happy Christmas.
