Maria is a lawyer and accredited Negotiator with extensive experience in fertility and parenting law. She was admitted to the Thessaloniki Bar Association in 2000 and has been a partner at NOMOS Law Firm since 2009. Maria holds an LL.B and an LL.M. in Commercial Law and, in 2014, was awarded an Interdepartmental Master’s degree in Medical Law and Bioethics by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her practice focuses on assisted reproductive technology law and surrogacy, where she advises on matters that are often complex and highly sensitive. As an accredited Negotiator, Maria brings a calm and considered approach to cases involving fertility and parenthood, drawing on many years of experience supporting intended parents and families through challenging legal processes.
Maria is fluent in Greek, English, German, and Spanish, both written and spoken, allowing her to work effectively with international clients. She is also a member of Growing Families’ Verification Criteria review committee, contributing her expertise in reproductive law and bioethics to the ongoing review and strengthening of the standards used to assess agencies and providers worldwide.
