Dr. Sebastian Leathersich is a highly qualified and widely respected specialist in infertility and IVF, male infertility, fertility preservation and oncofertility, reproductive endocrinology, and gynaecology. As a Certified Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) and Specialist Gynaecologist, he combines his academic excellence, international experience, and genuine compassion to deliver world-class, evidence-based care to individuals and couples, including the LGBTQIA+ community.
A passionate advocate for inclusive and respectful fertility care, Dr. Leathersich is deeply committed to helping people achieve their family-building goals while minimising the emotional and physical burden of treatment where possible.
His journey began with First Class Honours from the University of Western Australia, followed by international study and research. He earned First Class Honours at McGill University Health Centre in Montreal Canada and completed a prestigious maternal and perinatal health internship with the World Health Organisation in Geneva. His strong public health foundation includes dual Master’s degrees in Public Health and Health Management, both conferred with Excellence.
He went on to earn the Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) subspecialist qualification, the highest level of fertility training in Australia, held by only two other practising specialists in Western Australia. In 2024–2025, he completed an advanced clinical fellowship at the world-renowned Dexeus Fertility Institute in Barcelona and is now remotely completing a PhD at the University of Barcelona, on the management of diminished ovarian reserve, supported by the Jean Murray Jones Scholarship.
