Dr Hector Georgiou is a highly experienced Fertility Specialist who has guided individuals and couples through fertility treatment for many years. He is doubly qualified, holding both a Medical Doctor degree and a PhD in Science from Imperial College London, consistently ranked among the world’s top universities.
He completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at leading UK hospitals, including centres in London and Oxford. Dr Georgiou also holds Subspecialist Accreditation in Reproductive Medicine from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the highest qualification for IVF specialists in the UK.
Beyond his medical training, Dr Georgiou’s upbringing on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus shaped his strong appreciation for family, community, and meaningful connections. He is known for his attention to detail and deeply personalised approach to care, supporting patients throughout their fertility journey and helping them make informed decisions that are right for them.
After more than a decade of practice in the UK, Dr Georgiou is now based in Melbourne, a city he and his husband, along with their black lab Olive, have come to love.
He offers consultations in English and Greek, and also speaks conversational French.
