Dr Tamara Hunter is a Perth-based Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. A dedicated public advocate for women’s health, Dr Hunter is passionate about holistic, evidence-based reproductive care. This led her to found WOOM, a multi-disciplinary women’s health hub in West Perth that provides specialist healthcare to women throughout their reproductive years. Before embarking on her medical career, Dr Hunter completed a degree in Exercise Science, working as an Exercise Physiologist and Corporate Health Consultant in Sydney. After achieving her dream of becoming a doctor, she returned to Perth and specialised in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. In 2011, she obtained a Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the highest qualification available to a fertility specialist in Australia. She was the first female doctor in Western Australia to achieve this. As part of her commitment to women’s health, Dr Hunter works as a Paediatric Gynaecologist at Perth Children’s Hospital and as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Women’s and Infant’s Health at the University of Western Australia.
