Jess is a 32 year old married Intended Parent who works as an Early Childhood Educator. Jess had been on the Surrogacy community pages for some time, thinking surrogacy would be something she could do for others. Unfortunately, diagnosed with a rare sleep disorder – Narcolepsy – in 2020 Jess was prescribed stimulant medication unsafe for pregnancy. Along with other medical issues, Jess’ medical team deemed it unsafe to carry a pregnancy. The tables were turned. Attending Growing Families March 2024 Surrogacy Conference, Jess deeply connected with the community. Despite feeling she did not deserve to be putting herself out there, the event gave her new hope. She creating 8 embryos with donor sperm in November 2024. She and her surrogate Charmaine hope to proceed with their first transfer in August 2025.
