Marty is the Principal of Kavanagh Lawyers Perth. Marty practices in all areas of Family Law and has a particular interest in surrogacy and adoption matters. In March 2018, Marty was part of a team of lawyers who Assisted GayDads WA, pro bono, with legal submissions to the Western Australia surrogacy Review. Marty also has a professional interest in Restraining orders and for many years he wrote the Thomson Reuters commentary on the Restraining orders Act 1997 (WA). Apart from running a busy practice Marty is also the Honorary Consul of Ireland to Western Australia. Marty is a keen Dockers fan.
