Intended parents often tell us their biggest worry is knowing which providers to trust. With so many agencies, clinics, law firms, donor banks, and insurance providers around the world, it can be difficult to separate those who are truly reliable from those who may not meet the same standards of care. Sadly, we’ve also seen first-hand what can happen when trust is misplaced. In the past, we ourselves have partnered with providers who seemed promising but ultimately left us and the families we aimed to support disappointed. Those experiences taught us how critical it is to set a higher bar.
That’s why we created the Growing Families verification process. Our role is not just to guide you through the surrogacy journey but to ensure that anyone we recommend has been carefully vetted for professionalism, transparency, and ethical practice.
Why Verification Matters
Intended parents place enormous trust in us to guide one of the most important journeys of their lives. The stakes are too high to take risks with unverified providers. Through provider verification, we:
- Help intended parents make more informed decisions when choosing providers
- Highlight agencies and professionals who have undergone independent review
- Provide additional assurance that providers meet clear standards of professionalism and transparency
How the Verification Process Works
Our verification process is thorough but designed with families in mind:
- Growing Connections Membership
Before providers can be verified, they must join our professional membership network, which engages them in ongoing education, industry insights, and provides them best practice resources. - Independent Review
Once a provider is a member, we conduct a detailed evaluation before granting a Verified Provider badge. This process requires providers to submit a verification form and provide supporting materials, which may include:- Relevant accreditations or licenses
- Copies of contract templates or sample client agreements
- Internal codes of practice or policies
- Fee schedules
- Contact details of past clients for references
Our review assesses providers’ adherence to recognized standards of transparency, professionalism, and ethical practice.
- Verified Provider Badge
Only after passing our independent review does a provider receive the Verified Provider badge, a symbol intended parents can trust when choosing who to work with. Verification is not permanent. We maintain ongoing oversight, actively seek feedback from intended parents we refer to them, and reassess providers as needed to ensure standards are consistently upheld.
What Verification Means for You
When you see a provider with the Growing Families Verified badge, you know they have:
- Been independently assessed, not just self-declared as reputable
- Demonstrated a commitment to ethical and transparent practices
- Earned the trust of Growing Families to be recommended to intended parents
This means less time worrying about whether you’re making the right choice and more time focusing on the steps that bring you closer to parenthood.
Please note that while the Verified Provider badge reflects that a provider has completed our review and met our criteria, it is not a guarantee of outcomes for any individual intended parent. Our commitment doesn’t end with verification. We continually monitor provider performance, and your feedback is a vital part of keeping our standards high and trustworthy. If you have experience with any of the providers we’ve recommended, please reach out.
Our Commitment to You
Surrogacy and donor conception can be complicated, but our mission is simple: to empower families with clarity, confidence, and trustworthy connections. By vetting providers through our verification process, we aim to reduce uncertainty and focus on supporting your needs throughout the family-building journey.
If you’re exploring your options, you can have confidence that every provider we connect you with has been through this process. Your dream of family deserves nothing less.
