Marlena met Jamie and his partner, Kody, through the monthly SASS Zoom catch-ups, where regular conversations grew into a genuine friendship. As a woman in a same-sex relationship, Marlena had always understood how vital giving is, and after having her own children, surrogacy felt like a deeply meaningful way to give back, especially as she loved being pregnant. After spending some time surro-dating and building trust and understanding around their shared hopes and needs, offering to carry for Jamie & Kody felt completely natural, and from there the rest is history.
