Adam and his husband Angus welcomed their first child, daughter Vivian, via domestic surrogacy in 2022 – the only surrogacy to have featured on the recent Channel 9 docuseries, Big Miracles. The couple’s journey to parenthood spanned more than a decade, having pursued adoption while living abroad, overseas surrogacy before meeting their local surrogate and now lifelong friend via the Australian Surrogacy Community, with the support of Adam’s sister as their egg donor. Adam is an award-nominated journalist and freelance writer. He is currently writing his first book about their surrogacy journey, in a bid to boost awareness about Australian surrogacy and the many intricacies and emotions involved.
