Our journey to building a family was filled with determination and challenges, beginning with our decision to pursue surrogacy after years of exploring other options. After careful research, we chose the Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine and found our perfect egg donor through their in-house egg donor database. Once we matched with our incredible surrogate, thanks to both our egg donor and surrogate, they became fundamental figures in our lives, our day-to-day, and in the story of our children and how we fulfilled our dream.
Even though our egg donor initially started as an anonymous connection when we created our embryos, she ended up being the person who stood by our surrogate, taking care of our son the first night in the hospital after an emergency C-section at week 36, until we arrived. This created an unbreakable bond with these two incredible women, which continues to this day.
Through our experience, we realized the importance of choosing the right people, the right professionals, and the right destination for a magical process—not just during, but also for building lifelong relationships.
