Bec Kalpakoff

Bec and Mitch began their surrogacy journey in June 2017 after Bec was diagnosed with Stage 4 Asherman’s Syndrome. They chose surrogacy in Ukraine, partnering with Julia and the New Hope team. In September, they traveled to Kiev, met their amazing surrogate Anastasia, and Bec underwent her first IVF round. After retrieving only one embryo, she returned in December for a second, successful round. On December 23rd, two embryos were transferred to Anastasia, and in January 2018, they were thrilled to learn they were expecting twins.

At 32 weeks, while Bec was flying from Perth to Kiev, the twins arrived early. Despite being premature, Nash and Indie had minimal health issues and were discharged after just 16 days. Now 6 years old, they are energetic kids who love soccer, Pokémon and Super Mario Brothers. Bec is passionate about sharing her surrogacy experience and supporting others on the same journey. She is also a member of Asherman’s Syndrome Australia, advocating for better awareness and education for women and within the medical community.
