Melissa has worked as a fertility counsellor with IVF Australia for the past 15 years. Her current role includes the provision of supportive counselling services to patients undergoing IVF treatment. This includes grief and loss work, relationship counselling, management of anxiety, depression and coping with ART. Additionally, she provides implications counselling for donors and intending parents considering the psychosocial implications related to sperm, egg and embryo donation. Melissa also manages the counselling team at IVF Australia. Prior to fertility counselling her previous experience involved working as a psychologist in roles in both government and private sectors specialising in the area of child, adolescent and family counselling and disabilities.
