Paul and his husband, Tiziano, are fathers to a very active one-year-old son born through surrogacy in the USA in 2023. The couple used San Diego Fertility Clinic for egg donation and IVF, and CSP (Center for Surrogate Parenting) for their gestational carrier. Their surrogate was based in Oregon, USA, with whom they still maintain a very close relationship with. Both Australian citizens, they have been through the parental order process and immigration in the UK, as well as citizenship-by-decent processes in Australia and Italy.
