Prue has MRKH, meaning she was born without a uterus. A paediatic nurse, she and her husband have been married 11 years. They attempted surrogacy unsuccessfully in Thailand in 2014 and had another unsuccessful altruistic surrogacy journey in Australian in 2022. They have undergone 7 rounds of IVF. Now aged nearly 37, Prue has in March this year undergone a uterine transplant, thanks to her mum’s good friend. She her partner hope to have their first embryo transfer in just a few months time. She will discuss the preparation for surgery, impact on her life and the post surgical recovery.
